WHEN YOU HAVE SERIOUS CABIN FEVER...

And you're used to climbing world-class mountains and skiing down vertical shafts on a weekly basis like our favorite 111 ambassadors Stein Retzlaff and Erich Roepke are, you start cooking up wild ideas during quarantine. Like, maybe ride 1,500 miles across the Pacific Northwest in board shorts with very little planning (or experience) because, why not?! Enter The Ring of Fire trip, which was quickly nicknamed Sufferfest because that's what it was (ahem, 125k vertical feet). They ended up summiting near a half dozen volcanic peaks (3 in one day!), making a quick detour to the hospital, enjoying hardy meals of sardines and top ramen (yum), and then of course, there was the robbery...but in the end, it was one of their wildest adventures yet.
